Re: The 65A Line (Jewel Avenue Line)

Dear Mayor Bloomberg:

  I am an attorney who rides the Jewel Avenue Line.

            Since the City took over the line there has been no marked improvement.

            I ask you to focus on the fact that particularly on weekends after 10 o’clock at night the line only runs one bus, so that the bus has to make a round trip in order to pickup passengers at Queens Boulevard.

            Often as not after people have to wait the greater part of an hour there is such a line at the Queens Blvd bus stop that the bus that comes is packed liked a sardine can or it cannot get on the passengers so the passengers have to wait almost another an hour for the bus to make its full trip around.

            I would request that you give this matter your attention.
